San Miguel de Allende

San Miguel de Allende, a colonial-era city in Mexico’s central highlands, is famed for its baroque Spanish architecture, thriving arts scene and cultural festivals. Historically, the town is important as being the birthplace of Ignacio Allende, whose surname was added to the town’s name in 1826, as well as the first municipality declared independent of Spanish rule by the nascent insurgent army during the Mexican War of Independence.

The main attraction of the town is its well-preserved historic center, filled with buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries. This and the nearby Sanctuary of Atotonilco have been declared World Heritage Sites in 2008.

The trip was great

Hi Lesa! The trip was great, and we were with an amazing group. The resort was very nice. We had great service, especially from Oscar and his daughter Sarah; everywhere we ate or got drinks, it was great to deal with. Thank you for all your time spent helping our big group have a vacation together ❤️ -Amanda
